P. Cotton Abstract
The method explained here permits a simple evaluation of sometimes complicated results of theoretical calculations. It uses a graphical representation of calculations with complex numbers. After the study of the case of a simple interface (Fresnel coefficients) the case of a single film, absorbing or non-absorbing, is examined, and then the method is generalised for the case of double or multiple films.
