Abstract
When a double etalon is used in conjunction with a spectrograph, illumination from a continuous source produces heterochromatic fringes ; these provide a convenient means of phase adjustment. The method offers special advantages for weak or ultra-violet lines.
Résumé
Quand on utilise un double étalon couplé avec un spectrographe, on obtient un spectre cannelé en l'éclairant en lumière blanche ; ceci fournit une méthode commode de mise en phase des deux étalons. La méthode présente des avantages particuliers pour les raies faibles ou ultra-violettes.
