Un double étalon à balayage par pression

Abstract
A high resolution spectrometer using two Perot-Fabry etalons associated by intermediate focusing is described. Scanning is usually obtained by variation of air pressure between 0 and 1 atmosphere, but a special device permits very slow scanning (30 mK per hour) by means of a much smaller variation of pressure. The reproducibility in position of the spectral lines is the same as in a spectrometer with a single F.-P. etalon ; the conditions for a good conservation of intensities in successive orders are discussed. The apparatus has been used with a ratio of etalon spacings between 5 and 15, the ratio being integral or half-integral. With the ratio 15, the instrumental sharpness was about 300.

Description et conditions d'utilisation d'un spectromètre de haute résolution comportant deux étalons de Perot-Fabry associés par focalisation intermédiaire. Le balayage se fait ordinairement par variation de pression d'air de 0 à 1 atmosphère, mais un dispositif spécial permet des balayages très lents (30 mK à l'heure) par contrôle de variations de pression beaucoup plus faibles. La position des raies est reproduite, dans les ordres successifs, avec la même fidélité qu'avec un spectromètre à un seul étalon ; la conservation des intensités est bonne sous certaines conditions qui sont discutées. L'appareil a été utilisé avec des rapports d'épaisseur d'étalons compris entre 5 et 15 ; ces rapports étaient entiers ou demi-entiers. Avec le rapport 15, la finesse instrumentale était de l'ordre de 300.
