Un monocristal de ferro-silicium était façonné de manière à faciliter la formation de grands domaines. Son cycle d'hystérèse était composé, en grande partie, d'un seul saut de Barkhausen qu'on a étudié en détail et discuté en termes de mouvements des parois des domaines.
