Abstract
The radiative recombination mechanism in phosphorescence depends on the kinetic energy of the conduction electrons and also on the spatial distribution of centers and traps. Several experiments lead, in some cases, to localize the traps in the neighbourhood of the activator centers. Some objections against that viewpoint are exposed and may perhaps be useful in future discussions.
