Abstract
The interaction between the excitons and the lattice vibrations bas been studied in a new way. The wave functions use the one-particle functions of the polaron theory. The resulting formulation describes the electron and the hole as electrodynamically coupled particies, the effective mass of which is given by the polaron theory.
