Abstract
The study of very thin films of platinum deposited on glass has shown up the existence of a very distinct minimum of the reflection factor glass-metal for a thickness of the metal of about 25 A. This minimum appears at the same thickness of the metal whatever the wavelength of the monochromatic light used. It is thus possible to suppress, without selectivity, all internal reflections in a glass or quartz plate.
